SANTA EULALIA, IBIZA

Holidays to Santa Eulalia bring you something different in Ibiza. Yes, they come with spotless sandy beaches, but they also offer up boutique shops and top-class restaurants.

A touch of class

Santa Eulalia is a classy little resort on Ibiza’s southeast coast. It’s earned a reputation for being the island’s gastronomic centre, and also comes with art galleries, designer boutiques and high-end gift shops. There’s a sophisticated marina here too, with more restaurants as well as bars. And the spotlessly clean sand keeps up the standard on the resort’s 2 beaches.

A beach duo

Of Santa Eulalia’s beach duo, the first is right in the heart of town. It’s 300 metres long and comes with an ample supply of sunloungers, umbrellas and watersports. A pretty tree-lined promenade holds a full deck of bars and eateries. When you want to ring the changes, there’s also the slightly longer Mariner’s Beach – you can take a lovely riverside walk from here, too.

A friendly place

Santa Eulalia has managed to retain an authentic old-world feel and still oozes bags of traditional charm. The locals are open and friendly, and you’ll find the cafés and bars of the town centre are unfailingly welcoming – you’ll be on first-name terms with the regulars in no time. Trying out your Spanish here will go down particularly well, too.

Close to Ibiza Town

You’re just a 20-minute drive away from the capital, Ibiza Town. There’s plenty of history inside the fortress walls of the UNESCO-listed old town – cobbled streets, Gothic buildings, churches and a 14th-century cathedral. You’ll also find galleries, museums and gift shops here – plus a rather spectacular marina that showcases some of the Med’s most luxurious yachts.
