BEACHES IN TORREVIEJA

Torrevieja counts on four nice and sandy beaches all along its large coast, apart from several coves and natural swimmingpools.
All along the coast of Torrevieja, we can find beautiful sandy beaches, all of them count on services such as numerous restaurants, bars, cafés, gift shops... The main beaches, such as "Playa del Cura", "Playa de los Locos", etc., also have playful areas, security and watchful points, information desks, flags indicating the sea conditions, footbaths, access for disabled people.

There is a large promenade, which links the south of Torrevieja with the north, goes from "Playa de los Náufragos", located in the southern part of Torrevieja, to "Playa de La Mata".

Coves
The beaches of Torrevieja have a good Access and are perfectly indicated.

Their sand is white and fine and their services, such as showers, feet washers, gangways, children amenities, emergency services, surveillance, security and special relax areas are clearly indicated.

The Playa del Cura beach is the most famous one, as it is located in the city centre. This beach offers many services for tourists, as for instance different refreshment stalls, kiosks, restaurants, ice-cream parlors, etc, where you can have a snack between baths.

Their waters and sand are inspected throughout the year. The European Union has granted the Blue Flag prize to their good preservation conditions, their services and tidiness.

All beaches in Torrevieja have been certified under the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management standards.

Between beaches we can find many coves where you can enjoy of a quiet bath and practice scuba diving, such as Cala Ferris, located at the southern end of the city, which is full of palm trees and small dunes.  Torrevieja has wonderful deepwater sceneries.

It is advisable not to take any valuable objects with you when you go to the beach (like mobiles, jewelry, too much money...) as when you wish to go to the water there are no lockers and they will have to be left unguarded in the sand.

Please remember coves have no rescue service.
