VALDEVAQUEROS, TARIFA, CADIZ, SPAIN



Valdevaqueros is a village and beach in the municipality of Tarifa in the Province of Cadiz in southern Spain. It is located 9.7 kilometres (6.0 mi) by road to the northwest of Tarifa. Casa de Porros is a hamlet in the northwestern part. the beach measures about 4,050 metres (13,290 ft) by about 120 metres (390 ft) on average. Valdevaqueros has the Spin Out Kite surfing centre, established in 1988,[
and beachhouse and several hotels and a camping site and is a busy beach during the summer months, and borders the Playa de Los Lances. Behind a large dune created to protect the Punta Paloma coastal battery (currently dismantled). Arroyo Valdevaqueros, on the eastern entrance point has several houses and a coast-guard station. In the western part of the beach is the mouth of the river valley that forms a broad estuary that runs along the beach a few metres from the sea until reaching several hundred metres east.

BAÑOS DE EUROPA, TORREVIEJA , ALICANTE


One of the development areas in Torrevieja around the turn of the millennium was Banos de Europa, on the east side of the southern salt sea  (just north of the city of Torrevieja). The area was built in three phases with the natural order of 1, 2, 3. People moved in to Phase 3 in 2002 and 2003. This area has 130 housing units, which alternates between the houses and two-floor buildings. The buildings have apartments in the two floors with approx. 60 m2. Approximately 1/3 of the apartments are called duplex, there you live in the two floors.

Community is managed by a resident elected board, which is imposed in accordance with Spanish law.

LA VALL DE LA GALLINERA, ALICANTE



La Vall de Gallinera, also Vall de Gallinera (Valencian pronunciation: , is a valley and a municipality in north-east Alicante, Spain, included in the Marina Alta comarca. It is formed by the nuclei of Benirrama, Benialí, Benissivà, Benitaia, Carroja, Alpatró, Llombai and Benissili. All these settlements constitute a single municipality. The total combined population at the moment is around 600.[citation needed]

History
Like in all other valleys of the interior of Marina Alta, the Moors occupied the territory for almost six centuries. After the expulsion of the Moriscos in 1609, the Vall de Gallinera became deserted and the Duke of Gandia, to whom this area was given, brought from Majorca 150 families to repopulate the valley. As per Cavanilles: "it is easy still to see the origin of all of them in the accent and dialect of its inhabitants. They are very hard working, all they take advantage of it and they live contentedly in that delicious enclosure." Indeed, in this valley, Valencian is heavily influenced by Balearic Catalan.

PEÑON DE IFACH



The Peñon de Ifach is a large rock, located between the Calpe beaches. As you walk up the slope, before you begin the walk to the top of the Peñon, you have a chance to visit a museum documenting the natural parc. The walk is quite pleasant, with excellent views on Calpe and the mountains in the background - until a tunnel excavated in the rock. There is a rope to help you in the tunnel - the rock is slippery and it's easy to fall and get hurt. The problem starts after the tunnel where the walk continues on the same slick rock as in the tunnel but, inexplicably, there is no rope to help you and, worse of all, there is a sheer drop to your left. After that exposed passage, the rest of the walk is easy and the views worth the effort. For the adventurous, the Peñon has some sheer walls which attract lots of climbers. If you don't feel like walking up the Peñon or climbing it, you can walk at the bottom, along a nicely arranged walk - start near the marina, on the right hand side of the Peñon. Bird watchers will enjoy the birds nesting and swirling all around the rock. To protect the birds, walking and climbing up the Peñon is not allowed during the nesting season.

CALPE, ALICANTE



Calpe, also spelt without the 'e' as Calp, is instantly recognised by the mighty Penon de Ifach, the huge rock which rises 332 meters out of the Mediterranean sea. This has stood guard over the town and witnessed its transformation from sleepy little fishing village into tourist magnet.

Calpe is best known for its fine sandy beaches and great value fish restaurants. There are two stunning beaches to choose from, one either side of the mighty rock. Both beaches have beautiful long promenades and a great selection of bars and cafes. The fish restaurants are to be found mainly around the marina and the town centre has some excellent local shopping facilities, including a large street market.

The Rock of Ifach, which has been compared to the Rock of Gibraltar, was declared a nature reserve in 1987 and now provides a safe haven for a variety of birds and unusual flora and fauna. For the energetic, there is a fantastic walking route which goes through a tunnel in the rock and takes you right to its very tip!

In summer you can only do this in the early morning and late evening to avoid the beating sun, but out of season, this can be enjoyed at any time of day. Sunrise and sunset are often the most beautiful times of day. In autumn, winter and spring, sunrise is not too early and sunset arrives before we are tired out. The warm evenings makes eating out below the stars a treat. You’ll mostly be surrounded by the local Spanish people, probably in family groups, having a good time. WEATHER

Escape the rigours of a Northern European winter! Because the resort is sheltered by the high peaks of the Sierra Blanca behind it, the climate of Marbella is milder than other locations in southern Spain.

April, May and June in Marbella are just delightful for a sunny holiday. Marbella's temperatures are seriously beginning to climb. This time of the year, Marbella is an excellent choice of holiday destination for anyone looking to enjoy some out of season sunshine. In May for example, you can expect to see around 9 hours of sun per day with day temperatures reaching 23°C (74°F).

Similarly in September and October, the sun continues to shine. It remains hot until the end of September. Even in October you can expect 7 hours of sun per day with similar temperatures to May - 23°C (74°F).

Winter is different; March and November are the wettest months with up to 7 days of rain per month. However, the rain, although heavy, soon dispels and you would be unlucky not to get 5 or 6 hours of sun per day on average even in January. It is still a lot better than the cold wet days in Britain and other parts of Europe that’s for sure.

Autumn, winter and spring can provide better weather for those outdoor activites like golf, fishing,walking, horse back riding etc.
